How to Beat Orphan 2

"Final Fantasy XIII" is a role-playing game in which the player must control a group of adventurers as they journey through two worlds, Pulse and Cocoon, to save them from an entity known as "Orphan." When fighting Orphan at the end of the game, you must fight both forms of the boss. While the second form is slightly simpler to defeat than the first, a bit of strategy will still be involved.

Things You'll Need

Attack paradigm (in which all three members take offensive positions)
Saboteur paradigm (in which your leader is a Saboteur and your other members take offensive positions)
Deprotect skill
Deshell skill

Instructions

  Switch to your Saboteur paradigm at the beginning of the battle and have your party leader cast "Deshell" and "Deprotect" statuses on Orphan. If you have "Imperil," cast that as well. Additionally, you can switch to a paradigm where you attack Orphan and one of your party members is the Saboteur, but since you cannot control other members of your party, it is not recommended.

  Switch to an attack paradigm as soon as the boss is "Staggered." This means that you have attacked it until the word "Stagger" appears next to Orphan's stagger meter.

  Repeat this process until you have inflicted 3,390,000 points worth of HP damage. At this point, Orphan will be defeated.
