Call of Duty: World at War Nazi Zombies New Stages

Upon completing campaign mode in "Call of Duty: World at War" players were treated to the special multi-player game mode called "Nazi Zombies." Players combat waves of zombies that gradually increase in numbers and difficulty. Killing zombies earns the player points with which they can buy new weapons. Three new Nazi Zombie maps are available to download to give players an even greater challenge.
  1. Verruckt

    • Verruckt, German for "crazy, was the first new Nazi Zombie map released for "World at War". This map split players into two groups, adding an extra element of difficulty. Perk-o-cola machines, a new addition to the map, dispense cola that will give players random new abilities to aid them in surviving. Two other new features added to the map are electro shock defenses, electric fences that will shock enemies that pass, and a cute teddy bear weapon that makes the mysterious box respawn in a new location.

    Shi no Numa

    • The second Nazi Zombie map released is Shi No Numa, or "swamp of death" in Japanese. Game play is redesigned for Shin No Numa, giving you the choice to play different characters and thus have different starting weapons. Players also have new foes, the flaming hell hounds that will randomly replace zombies after round seven, move fast and will explode when they get close to you. New weapons and traps have also been added to help players survive the greater difficulty.

    Der Riese

    • Der Riese, or Zombie Factory, is the newest map released for Nazi Zombies and it features many changes in game play. Players travel around via teleporters to help escape and survive in crucial situations. The new power up, "carpenter," repairs all broken windows and doors to help slow zombies and buy you some time. New weapons such as a bowie knife, that will kill zombies in one swing until about round 19, and a monkey bomb that acts as a decoy and then explodes have also been added, as well as the Pack a Punch Machine, which will upgrade your current weapon.

    Purchasing

    • All new Nazi Zombie maps are available online for free for the PC version of the game. Xbox and PlayStation 3 users can purchase the new maps through online stores for around $10 per map or $25 as a bundle.
