How to Build & Drive Your Own Custom Car

Press "Start" on your PlayStation 3 controller when in the main hub, after pressing "Start" at the title screen.

Select "Create." Select "Karts."

Select "New" to create a new custom car.

Select "Bodies." Choose a body for your car out of the 60 available body types.

Select "Paint" to choose a color scheme for your car.

Select "Parts." Use the "L2" and "R2" buttons to cycle through the different categories of parts, such as engines, suspensions and wheels.

Select "Accessories" to add items like spikes and decorations to your car. The bar at the bottom of the screen will fill as each accessory is placed on the car. When the bar is full, no more accessories can be added.

Select "Save" to save all of the changes and name your car and be taken back to the main hub.

Press "R1" on your PlayStation 3 controller to access the list of cars available. Select the car you just created from the list provided to drive your car.

Press "Start." Select "Race." Choose a race type to begin a race and try out your new car.
