How to Get RDR PSN DLC Codes

"Red Dead Redemption" (RDR) is a western action video game that features downloadable content (DLC) to extend game play options. The DLC options include additional maps, weapons, single and multi-player game modes. Different versions of DLC are available for "Red Dead Redemption," creating confusion over pricing and the requirement to use codes. The DLC codes are used only to redeem exclusive content that was available by reserving the game from three select retailers.

  Purchase "Red Dead Redemption" for PlayStation 3 from Best Buy retail stores to obtain a code for the "War Horse." Load Red Dead Redemption and press the "Start" button on the controller to access the main menu. Press "Triangle" to access the "RDR DLC" screen. Press "Square" to access PlayStation Network and "Square" again to select "Redeem Code." Enter the code provided with your purchase to download the "War Horse."

  Purchase "Red Dead Redemption" from Amazon.com to obtain the exclusive "Golden Gun" weapon, or a GameStop retailer to obtain the "Assassin's Outfit." Repeat the code redemption procedure to access and retrieve the content.

  Press "Triangle" to Return to the "Red Dead Redemption" download screen to verify that the content is listed after the download. Repeat the code redemption procedure if the content is not visible on this screen.
