How to Play SOCOM on Playstation 3

SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation, developed by Slant Six Games and released in 2008, is the first game in the SOCOM series for the PlayStation 3. It can be purchased on Blu-ray disc or downloaded over the PlayStation Network. In terms of content, the title is a military themed, third-person action game focusing around online play. A version of the game was released with a Bluetooth headset, allowing communication with other players playing online.

  Insert the SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation disc in the PS3. At the home menu, select the title's icon under "Game," install the game and download any available updates. It takes 5-10 minutes for a progress bar to appear, so don't worry if the installation seems to be taking too long. If after installation you get a notification about a corrupt file, go to the Game Date Utility folder and delete the corrupted file. Then try again. You need at least 3.1GB of space for the installation.

  Turn off the headset, search for Bluetooth on the PS3, and then hold the button on the headset until the mute light flashes to sync the two. It will ask for your password; the default password for Bluetooth headsets is 0000.

  Select "Quick Match" from the PS3's main menu. This is a quick way of starting a game with similarly ranked players. It is also possible to create a "Party" in "Quick Match" so you can invite your friends and pair up with them before going into a game.
