Purchase and download the ̶0;Pro Evolution Soccer 2012̶1; Option File Update from ProEvolutionUpdate.com. Save the file to your computer's desktop.
Insert a USB flash drive into your computer's USB port. When you insert the drive, a window will appear that gives you usage options and identifies the drive by a letter, typically ̶0;F̶1; or ̶0;G.̶1;
Double-click the Option File Update's installation icon on your desktop to open it. Click ̶0;Next,̶1; check the box to agree with the terms of service and click ̶0;Next̶1; once again. You will be prompted to choose an installation folder.
Change the location of the installation folder, which will be listed as ̶0;C:\PS3.̶1; Change the ̶0;C̶1; to the letter of your flash drive, such as ̶0;F:\PS3.̶1; Click ̶0;Next̶1; and then ̶0;Start̶1; to begin transferring the files to your flash drive. Once the files have transferred, click ̶0;Exit̶1; and eject your flash drive.
Insert the USB flash drive into your PS3's USB port and turn the system on. From the main menu, select the ̶0;Saved Data Utility (PS3)̶1; folder and then ̶0;USB Device.̶1; Allow the PS3 about five minutes before attempting to copy the data. Once the system's hard drive light stops flashing, proceed to the next step.
Select the first file under the Option File Update on the USB flash drive and press the ̶0;Triangle̶1; button. Choose ̶0;Copy.̶1; You must copy each file individually, pressing ̶0;Triangle̶1; and selecting ̶0;Copy̶1; for each one.
Exit to the PS3's main menu once all files have been copied. Load ̶0;Pro Evolution Soccer 2012̶1; and you'll have updated team names, correct team squads starting, line-ups and formations, correct team strips, updated player names and numbers, as well as corrected competition and stadium names.
