Setting Up a PS3 to a Dlink

D-Link routers create a wireless network to connect your computers, smartphones and game consoles to your Internet service. The Playstation 3 includes a WiFi antenna built into the console to allow for a native connection to wireless networks. Use the settings of the PS3 to set up the connection to your D-Link router and start playing games with other members of the Playstation online community.

      Turn on the PS3 and your TV.

      Remove any Ethernet cables from the networking port on the rear of the console. Scroll to the "Settings" option in the on-screen menu and press "X." Highlight the "Network Settings" option and press "X."

      Press "X" in the "Connection Settings" window and scroll to the "Wireless" option in the next prompt. Press "X." Highlight "Scan" and press "X" to search for the D-Link's network. Scroll to the SSID or wireless network name of the D-Link router and press "Enter." Use the on-screen keyboard to enter the wireless password for the router's network and press "X."

      Scroll to the "Save" option and press "X" to save the connection settings and complete the setup.
