How to Go to Rome in Assassin's Creed 2

While playing through the story mode in "Assassin's Creed II," players are tasked with finding the codex pages that will uncover the whereabouts of the vault of the Piece of Eden. After collecting all of these codex pages you can travel to the vault's location in Rome, Italy, where the game's final mission takes place.

Instructions

- 1
  Enter the Villa Auditore at the far north end of the town of Monteriggioni.

  Turn right immediately upon entering the villa and walk through the door against the east wall. Walk down the hallway at the end of the room to enter the codex room.

  Approach Mario Auditore and press "Triangle" to speak with him if you are playing the game on a PS3 or "Y" if you are playing the game on an Xbox 360.

  Watch the short cutscene that plays and press "X" if you are playing the game on a PS3 or "A" if you are playing the game on an Xbox 360 to accept the X Marks the Spot mission.

  Approach the codex wall and press "Circle" to place the codex on the wall if you are playing the game on a PS3 or "B" if you are playing the game on an Xbox 360; this initiates the codex wall puzzle.

  Highlight the individual codexes and rotate them to the right or left by pressing the "R2" and "L2" buttons, respectively. If you are playing the game on the Xbox 360, press the "RT" and "LT" buttons to rotate the codexes to the right and left, respectively. Rotate the 30 codexes until they form a map of the world. The best way to go about this puzzle is to rotate the perimeter codexes first to establish the map's border and then rotate the interior codexes. After all of the codex pieces are in place, the codex puzzle is solved.

  Approach the pedestal in front of the codex wall and press "Circle" if you are playing the game on the PS3 or "B" if you are playing the game on the Xbox 360 to place the Piece of Eden there.

  Watch the brief cutscene. After the cutscene, approach Mario and press "Triangle" if you are playing the game on the PS3 or "Y" if you are playing the game on an Xbox 360 to speak to him. Press "X" if you are playing the game on the PS3 or "A" if you are playing the game on an Xbox 360 when prompted to travel to Rome.
