How to Make Yourself Host in MW2 on PS3

When you play "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" online with your PS3, a host is chosen from the list of players at random. The obvious benefit to being the host of the match is that you'll have minimal lag time. The only way to guarantee you'll be the host of the next Call of Duty match is to create a private match and invite your Playstation Network friends to join you. In order to play, your friends will need their own copy of Modern Warfare 2.

  Select "Multiplayer" from Modern Warfare 2's main menu.

  Click "Friends."

  Choose which friends you want to invite, then click "Invite."

  Click "Game Type" and select which type of multiplayer experience you want to have. You can select "Free-For-All," "Search and Destroy," "Demolition," "Domination," "Sabotage," "Capture the Flag" or "Team Deathmatch."

  Click "Start Game" after your friends have joined the match. As the person who invited them, you'll be the host of the game.
