How to Force Host in MW2 on PS3

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" ("MW2") is a popular PlayStation 3 (PS3) video game that allows players from across the world to compete against one another in death matches, capture-the-flag tournaments and cage matches. Though skill and experience play a role in success or failure, another important factor is connection speed. One way to secure a strong connection is by hosting a game instead of joining another player's game. This will guarantee you the lowest ping rate, which will serve as a great advantage against other players.

     Open the game and click the "Play" button.

     Click the "Find Game" option.

     Select a game type from the list. Any will suffice.

     Press the "Escape" key and wait for your lobby to fill up with players. If players do not show up in your lobby, then repeat steps 1 through 3 until they do.
