How to Win in the TNA Impact: Ultimate X Game for PlayStation 3

"TNA Impact," a wrestling game for the PlayStation 3, features the wrestlers and match types of the TNA wrestling brand. Everything from a basic one-on-one match type to the high-flying Ultimate X match type is included. In the Ultimate X match type, a large X is suspended high above the ring by two cables. To win the match, a wrestler must traverse the cables to pull the X down. The same rules apply to the Ultimate X match type in the game as well. However, you must know the specific button inputs on your PlayStation 3 controller to navigate to the X.

Instructions

    • 1

Use your strongest moves to injure your opponent. When your opponent is weak, it takes him longer to get up after being knocked down, allowing you time to reach the X. The picture of your opponent's body in the upper right corner starts to turn red as you inflict more damage. The brighter the shade of red, the more that wrestler is injured. Additionally, the announcers give verbal clues regarding the state of your opponent such as "He looks really weak!"

    • 2

Stand next to any turnbuckle. The turnbuckles are the chest-high posts located in each corner of the wrestling ring.

    • 3

Press "Circle" on your PlayStation 3 controller to climb on top of the turnbuckle.

    • 4

Press the "Circle" and "L1" buttons simultaneously to jump from the turnbuckle to one of the cables above the ring.

    • 5

Press the left analog stick in the direction of the X to move your wrestler towards it.

    • 6

Press the "Circle" button to initiate the process of unhooking the X when you are next to it. A black bar appears above the X with a smaller white bar inside it moving rapidly from side to side.

    • 7

Press "X" when the white bar is in the green zone in the center of the black bar. You must stop the bar in the green zone three times to unhook the X and win the match. The counter is cumulative for the entire match -- if you manage to stop the bar in the center twice and get pulled down, you need to stop the bar in the center only one more time to win the match.
