Instructions
Disconnect the audio plug from the audio jack on the cymbal with the broken wire.
Pull the cymbal off of the cymbal stand and set it aside. Repeat this Step and Step 1 for the other cymbal, even if it isn't broken. Do this because it's easier for both cymbals to be removed when replacing one of the wires.
Remove the two screws on the side of the cymbal stand. Pull off the cymbal stand to reveal the hole through which the cymbal wire runs. Turn the Drum Kit upside down.
Remove the dozen screws from the bottom of the Drum Kit. Set them aside. Gently lift the bottom panel of the drum kit off of the top half and set it aside.
Remove the tape that's attaching the broken wire to the panel.
Disconnect the wire from the circuit board. The wire has a female connector on one end that is plugged into the circuit board. Gently pull out this connector.
Pull the broken wire out of the hole that it's snaked through on the panel. Put the broken wire aside.
Plug the replacement wire back into the circuit board. Snake the audio plug end of the new wire through the hole in the panel and up the cymbal stand. Tape the wire to the panel. Reconnect the two halves of the panel. Screw them together. Replace the cymbal stand. Plug the new wire's audio plug into the audio jack of the cymbal. Turn on your Guitar Hero game and rock out.
