How to Get a Larger Reel on Rapala Pro Bass Fishing for PS3

"Rapala Pro Bass Fishing" is a fishing simulation game for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) that attempts to recreate the realism of competitive fishing by allowing users to customize the multiple aspects of their fishing rod. After you have completed a few tournaments and challenges, you will unlock additional pieces of equipment that can be bought to increase the quality of your fishing rod, including buying a larger reel. A larger reel allows you cast a longer distance and gives some added strength for reeling in those large fishes.

Instructions

  Start "Rapala Pro Bass Fishing" and load a game that has already completed a few tournaments and challenges. You will have to unlock any reels you want to purchase by completing these events.

  Open the "Shop" from the main menu and purchase a larger reel for your rod. You can navigate to the "Reel" tab by pressing the "R2" button. Scan through the list of unlocked reels and press the "X" button twice on the one you want to purchase.

  Open the "My Equipment" option from the main menu and press "R2" to change to the "Reel" tab. All of your purchased reels will be displayed.

  Press the "X" button on the larger reel you want to use. It will become equipped to your character and will be used in all future tournaments, until you change to a new reel.
