How to Know a PS3 Game ID

All PlayStation 3 games have a specific Game Title ID stored in the PARAM.SFO file on the disk. The Game ID number can be important if making backup copies of your PlayStation 3 games or modifying your console. If you need to find the Game Title ID number for a specific PlayStation 3 game, you can use one of several online databases or computer programs to locate the number.

Instructions

  Open your browser, and visit PS3hax.net.

  Click on "Downloads" in the navigation bar at the top of the page.

  Click the "Search" link in the "Navigation" bar, and type in "ps3title." Click "Search." Click on the "ps3title" search result, and click "Download" in the upper-right corner to download the ps3title software. Save the file to your desktop.

  Open the downloaded folder, and double-click the "ps3title.exe" file within it to launch the program.

  Type in all or part the title of the game you wish to know the PS3 Game ID for into the "Search" field, and press "Enter." The program will return the Game ID in the Search bar.

  Open your browser, and visit Damox.net.

  Hover your mouse over "PS3 Games" at the top of the page; then scroll down and click on "All." A complete list of all games will appear.

  Type in all or part of the title of the game you wish to know the PS3 Game ID for into the "Search" field in the top-right corner of the page. The website will automatically return games relevant to your search.

  Locate the Game ID beneath the "Title_ID" section on the page.

  Open your browser, and visit Sonyindex.com.

  Click the "Name" link next to the "PS3" section, beneath "US" column.

  Scroll through the list, and locate the game you wish to know the Game ID for from the list. Games appear in alphabetical order. The Game ID is located to the left of the game.
