How to Get More Caps in Fallout New Vegas for PS3

Shopkeepers in "Fallout: New Vegas" for the PlayStation 3 offer weapons, upgrades and medical supplies, but you need thousands of caps to buy everything you want. If you are a newcomer in the Mojave Wasteland, caps are always in short supply. When you know where to look, though, you discover many ways to earn more caps. Adventurers can find caps when they explore abandoned buildings and dungeons or loot the corpses of defeated enemies. Players who are less skilled in combat can gamble at casinos to make extra money.

Instructions

    • 1

Explore every house, building or cave you find. Open each container to find caps or valuable items to sell. Weapons and armor sell for hundreds of caps at most shops. If you find a collectible snow globe, take it to Mr. House on the New Vegas Strip. He buys snow globes for 2,000 caps each.

Complete each quest you take. Most people reward you with caps when you finish a quest. You also usually get supplies or special items, and you can sell these for more caps.

    • 3

Kill every hostile person you meet. Raiders almost always carry money with them, and they usually have a powerful weapon, too. If you don't mind being evil, kill nonhostile characters, like shop owners, and then loot their bodies.

Gamble in the New Vegas casinos to earn caps quickly. Slot machines rarely pay out, so avoid them. Instead, play blackjack. When you win too much money in a single game, you get kicked out of the casino, so take a break after you win a few hands.

Bet on fights at The Thorn, an underground boxing club. If your bet wins, you earn a prize. If you feel confident, sign up as a fighter. You get caps when you defeat your opponent.
