How to Defeat the Swamp Troll in the Dead Bog in Castlevania in PS3

The infamous demon slayer, Gabriel, seeks out Pan's Temple in "Castlevania: Lords of Shadow." To reach Pan and learn what you must do to resurrect Gabriel's lost wife, you must first fight through the monster-filled swamp of the Dead Bog. As you near the end of the Dead Bog, an enormous creature, the Swamp Troll, decides to make a meal out of you. To survive this fight, avoid the Swamp Troll's sweeping and pounding attacks, and use your whip to bring it down.

Instructions

- 1
  Approach the Swamp Troll and tap "Triangle" to strike it with your whip. The Swamp Troll grabs a large stone pillar. Roll away before it starts to swing it at you.

  Wait for the Swamp Troll to lift the pillar above its head. When the Swamp Troll swings the pillar down, jump up to avoid the shock wave. If you do not jump, you will get knocked down.

  Rush in and whip the Swamp Troll a few more times. If you see its hand start to glow, roll away before it punches you.

  Keep moving. If you stop moving, the Swamp Trolls grabs you and tries to squash you. If this happens, tap the random button shown on the screen until it releases you.

  Press "L2" to block some of the Swamp Troll's punches. Whip the Swamp Troll until its health meter is almost empty. An "R2" icon appears over the monster's head when it is close to death.

  Run up to the Swamp Troll and press "R2." Gabriel leaps on the beast's back. Two circles appear on the screen. When the circles are the same size, press any button. A random button appears. Tap it to kill the Swamp Troll.
