How to Kill a Will-O-the-Wisp on Oblivion 4 on PS3

Will-o-the-Wisps threaten players who venture into caves and dungeons in "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion." Will-o-the-Wisps are gaseous green creatures that are completely immune to psychical attacks. These glowing monsters use the Absorb Health and Absorb Magicka spells against you if you get too close. They often travel in packs, and they can kill an unprepared traveler in just a few attacks. To kill Will-o-the-Wisps, use any type of magic on them or hit them with an enchanted, silver or Daedric weapon.

Instructions

- 1
  Use a Detect Life spell or enchanted item when you travel near or in caves. Will-o-the-Wisps tend to stay invisible until they attack you. Detect Life lets you see them even if they are invisible. You can also see Will-o-the-Wisps when they float over water.

  Run away from a Will-o-the-Wisp if one confronts you. The Will-o-the-Wisp only damages you if it touches you.

  Cast a magic spell at the Will-o-the-Wisp. Almost all types of spells work, except spells that paralyze, silence or poison.

  Equip an enchanted, Daedric or silver weapon if the Will-o-the-Wisp gets close to you. Attack the monster a few times and then back away before it casts a spell on you. Do not use normal weapons; they have no effect on the Will-o-the-Wisp.

  Restore your health or magicka with a potion if the Will-o-the-Wisp drains it. Keep attacking the Will-o-the-Wisp until it dies.
