How to Make Fallout New Vegas on PS3 Save Your Own Files

As you play through "Fallout: New Vegas," you make influencial decisions that affect the lives of people throughout the Mojave wasteland, and you collect all kinds of gear, some of which is rare and valuable. Losing progress as you play can be very frustrating, but "New Vegas" has some auto-save features you can use to make the game save your progress for you. Keep in mind that only one auto-save file exists, so every time the game auto-saves again, it writes over the previously saved file.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on your PS3 and start "Fallout: New Vegas," if it's not running already.

    • 2

Access "Settings" in the game. You can select this option from the main menu, or you can press the "Start" button to find it in-game.

    • 3

      Select "Gameplay."

    • 4

Turn on whichever auto-save features you prefer. You have three options: "Save on rest," Save on wait" and "Save on travel."

    • 5

Press the circle button to leave the gameplay settings, and press it again to leave the settings section. At this point, the game will save your settings to the PS3 hard drive.
