How to Drop the Puck From a Glove to a Stick for a Goalie in NHL 11

"NHL 11" is a professional ice hockey game from Electronic Arts for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 video game consoles. It marks the twentieth anniversary of the first NHL game in the series. Gamers can play as teams from the 2010-2011 NHL season, as well as All-Star teams and some historically famous hockey teams. While in a game, players can take control of their own goalie to block shots. If your goalie catches the puck in his glove, you can make him drop it to his stick to pass.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the Left Bumper button on the Xbox 360 controller or the "L1" button on the PlayStation 3 controller to take control of your goalie. You must be on defense and the player with the puck must be on your end of the ice.

    • 2

Adjust your goalie's position using the left joystick. Position yourself in front of the net facing the opponent with the puck, though be sure not to leave an opening behind you. Move yourself in front of the shot once they take it.

    • 3

Hold the Right Trigger button on the Xbox 360 or "R2" button on the PlayStation 3 to drop the puck from your glove to your stick. You will hold this position until you let go of the button, at which time your goalie will pass the puck to the nearest teammate.
