How to Browse on Netflix Streaming on PS3

Not just for games anymore, the PlayStation 3 plays Blu-ray discs and allows customers to connect their consoles to the Internet. Netflix offers streaming movie service for customers with a PlayStation 3. To browse through selections from Netflix, install the application first. While the Netflix application is free, you will have to subscribe to Netflix's Instant Streaming video service to watch movies. Also, you need to connect your PlayStation 3 to the Internet before trying to browse through the Netflix Instant queue.

Instructions

  Sign in to your PlayStation 3 account and scroll to the PlayStation Network menu. Press X to click on the "What's New" section and select the Netflix graphic. It may ask you to sign in and give your password because you are downloading an application. The description of the Netflix application will appear.

  Click "Download." A new screen will appear. Click "Download" again to install the application. Wait for the application to finish downloading.

  Go to your Home Menu and click on the Netflix application to bring up the program.

  Browse the Instant Streaming Netflix application by clicking "New Arrivals," which will bring up movies that have just been added to Netflix. Or click "Genre" to browse by a specific category like action or comedy. Look through what you have in your queue by clicking "Instant Queue." You can also search with keywords or movie names by clicking the "Search" option.
