How to Kill the Mad Scientist in Black Ops Zombies

The Mad Scientist is a mini-boss type enemy in the Zombies mini-game in the "Call of Duty: Black Ops" video game for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and DS. Although he is officially known as the Pentagon Thief, many players have nicknamed him the "Mad Scientist" because of his bizarre appearance and proclivity for using futuristic gadgets. The Pentagon Thief, who appears only in the "Five" Zombies level, is unusually strong. So you must use teamwork to bring him down before he steals your weapons.

Instructions

  Play through the level until you get to the third floor. At this point, the Pentagon Thief appears and starts trying to steal your weapons. He has a cloaking device, but you can see where he is by looking for a light red outline.

  Deploy claymores at every doorway you can find. Once you have these set up, run away from the Pentagon Thief. He will eventually follow you and trip one of the mines. This may kill him if you've been shooting at him, but it is more likely that he just takes a lot of damage.

  Watch your map for the Ray Gun. When it appears in the level, you will see a small icon on your in-game map. Pick it up, and equip it. This is one of the most powerful guns and is quite effective against the Pentagon Thief.

  Shoot the Pentagon Thief with your strongest weapons. If you have a headset, instruct your teammates to fire on him, as well. If the Pentagon Thief starts coming toward you, switch to your weakest weapon, but keep shooting. If he robs you, he will only get the weak weapon. Chase him with your remaining weapon, and keep shooting him until he dies.
