How to Modify Alex Mercer in Prototype for PS3

Alex Mercer is the protagonist of the third-person open world game "Prototype." Players can modify Alex's appearance and his abilities throughout the game. Both of these types of modification are essential to know and can help Alex get out of difficult situations. Alex can steal people's identities and then modify his appearance to look like them. This disguise helps you move through certain areas unchallenged. The majority of your actions in the game earn evolution points, a currency that is used to purchase new abilities from the pause menu.

  Stand next to any human character and press the "Circle" button to grab them.

  Press "Triangle" to absorb them.

  Press the "Left" button on the d-pad to toggle your appearance between Alex Mercer and the character you absorbed.
Abilities

  Complete missions, earn medals in events, kill enemies and collect hidden orbs to earn evolution points.

  Press the "Start" button to open the pause menu. Highlight the "Upgrades" option and press "X."

  Scroll through the available upgrade options. Press "L1" and "R1" to switch between ability categories and the directional controls to scroll through the lists of available abilities.

  Highlight the ability you want Alex to learn or upgrade and press the "X" button. Highlight the "Purchase" option and press "X" again to confirm your purchase and teach Alex the ability.
