How to Use the Darkness Powder on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for PS3

The game "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1" is based on the movie of the same title, which in turn is based of the last of the seven Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling. The game play follows the movie's plot closely, allowing you to play as the three heroes: Harry, Ron and Hermione. You will be able to use various spells in the game, as well as items that will help you in stealth missions, such as the Invisibility Cloak and Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder. Use the powder wisely, because the effects are short-lived.

Instructions

  Play through the game's story mode, starting from the beginning or continuing a save file. In each of the chapters in the game you can pick up and carry items that you find along the way. When you find the Darkness Powder, pick it up and take it with you since it will be extremely useful later.

  Continue playing through the game's story mode. There will be several occasions when you will need to employ stealth tactics. The Invisibility Cloak will also come in handy in these situations, but if you need extra cover you can use the Darkness Powder. Some occasions in the game where you might want to use the Darkness Powder are while trying to escape from the Ministry of Magic and while escaping from the Malfoy's dungeon.

  Go to your Items menu and select the Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder when you want to use it. Select it using the "X" button and complete darkness will surround you, allowing you to make a hasty escape and avoid enemies.

  Use the Darkness Powder sparingly; you will use a pinch of it each time you selected, but you will only have a limited amount. Use it strategically in the stealth levels to sneak past Death Eaters.
