How to Get Into the Ancient Castle in Sonic the Hedgehog

The ancient Soleanna Castle is also known as the Kingdom Valley Area in the "Sonic the Hedgehog" video game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. The castle is in ruins, so once you reach Kingdom Valley, you are considered "inside" the castle already. This part of the game is somewhat misleading, because the entrance to this area is technically in the Forest Town Area. But you must complete three vital tests on the other side of Soleanna Town before you are allowed entry.

Instructions

- 1
  Play through the game until you are instructed to go to the Soleanna Castle. The castle is technically located in the Forest Town Area, but the gate will be closed. Instead, go see the Bishop, who is in the bell tower adjacent to the shop near the center of town.

  Speak with the Bishop outside the bell tower, and agree to face the three tests. Wait for the level to load, then go up the stairs to the altar and speak with the man at the far side to accept the Test of Intelligence.

  Jump through the middle portal, then jump through the middle portal again. Jump through the highest portal, then jump through the portal closest to you. Hop on the spring to reach the goal.

  Speak with the next man when you return to the altar, to accept the Test of Courage. Move around quickly to confuse the enemies. Watch your radar to track them down and destroy each one. Use the spring nearby to jump to the trees, to take out the last group and pass the test.

  Speak with the final man to start the Test of Love. It is impossible to fail this test. You simply choose Amy or Elise, although there is no wrong answer. When you are back at the altar, stand on the eagle-shaped seal in the center, and wait for the eagle to come get you.

  Let the eagle carry you to the tower in the distance. When you arrive, jump through the portal to get to Kingdom Valley.
