How to Get New Songs on Power Gig

"Power Gig: Rise of the SixString" is a build-your-own-band game for the PlayStation 3 and the the Xbox 360. The track list features 70 songs that your band unlocks during play. "Power Gig" is different than other console band games since, instead of using plastic instruments to play, you use a real guitar, drum set and microphone while playing. The game is meant to give players basic instrument instruction and help develop playing skills by introducing a variety of songs at different ability levels.

Instructions

  Begin your game on the "Story" mode. Once you complete the song on "Story" you will unlock the "Free Play" mode.

  Play each set of songs until you have mastered them according to the game. Once you master a set of songs, typically five, you unlock the next level and set of songs. You receive ratings during the game that tell you if you have a song mastered.

  Continue working through each song set on the story mode until you have mastered each song and ability level. Once you have completed "Story" mode, the "Free Play" mode is completely unlocked, allowing you to play any song at any time.

  Compete in challenges to unlock new songs after completing the "Story" mode.
