How to Kill Death Eaters in Harry Potter: Deathly Hallows on the PS3

A game adaptation of the first installment of the final Harry Potter film, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1," allows you to control Harry and his friends as they battle the forces of the nefarious Voldemort. In addition to solving puzzles, creating potions and learning new spells, you must battle Death Eaters as they attempt to kill Harry. To defeat the Death Eaters in the game, you can employ several techniques using the spells and potion acquired during the game.

Instructions

  Sneak up on any unsuspecting Death Eaters using Harry's invisibility cloak and use "Stupefy" when close enough to knock out the enemy. Several stages in the game require Harry to use stealth in order to avoid taking on multiple enemies at once. Taking your time to pick off Death Eaters when cloaked will allow you to progress through the game while taking minimal damage.

  Use the "L1" button to lock onto Death Eaters to increase your chances of connecting when casting a spell. Death Eaters who attack while riding a broom can move too quickly to hit when using manual targeting. The lock-on feature also allows you to move out of the way of incoming attacks while still keeping the Death Eater in your sights.

  Avoid taking damage by hiding behind boulders, trees and buildings when battling large number of Death Eaters. Use spells and potions to damage Death Eaters once you have found a defensible position. Battling out in the open will multiple enemies to attack you at once, while taking cover will limit the number of enemies that can attack you.

  Cast "Protego" to provide Harry with a shield to deflect incoming attacks. Cast "Expelliarmus" after deflecting an incoming attack to disarm the Death Eater. Cast "Stupefy" to knock out the Death Eater once unarmed.
