How to Know a PS3 Game Title ID

While modding your PS3 may be frowned upon by Sony, the process of modifying your console isn't inherently bad or even illegal in most cases. If you'd like to hack or mod copies of some of your PS3 games, the modification may require the original game's identification number. But if your original game disc is damaged, you'll need an alternative method for retrieving your game title IDs.

Instructions

  1. PS3 Game List

    • 1

Download a free copy of PS3 Game List (see References). Double-click on the zipped file to open it. Drag-and-drop the contents of the file into an empty folder.

    • 2

Double-click on the extracted "Ps3 list" file to launch the program.

    • 3

Click on the program's "Game Folder" button to locate the folder that contains your game. After the game loads into PS3 Game List, you can find the game's identification number beneath the program's ID heading.
