How Do I Move My Demon's Souls Save File to a New PS3?

If you've gotten a new PS3, it is likely that you will want to transfer the data from your old PS3 to the new one. This can be achieved by using the PS3 system's internal Data Transfer Utility, which is designed specifically for this task. When using the Data Transfer Utility, you will move all of the data, such as your profile information, videos, music, photos and game save data, including data for "Demon's Souls" if you've played it on your system. Once you authorize the process on both systems, the rest happens automatically.

  Connect the PS3 with the "Demon's Souls" game save data to the new PS3 with an Ethernet cable. Connect both machines to your TV and switch both of them on. Toggle your TV's input until you have the first PS3 displayed.

  Go to the "System Settings" option in the "Settings" submenu on the PS3's main menu. Scroll down to the "Data Transfer Utility" option and press "X."

  Select the "Transfer data from this system to the other PS3 system" option. The PS3 will go on standby while it waits for the second PS3 to be ready for the transfer.

  Toggle the video input on your TV until the second PS3 is displayed. Go to the Data Transfer Utility on this system. Select the "Transfer data from the other PS3™ system to this system" option. Allow the transfer to complete.

  Load your copy of "Demon's Souls" into the PS3. When the game loads, you will be able to load the saved data.
