How to Drop Shot in Modern Warfare 2

The Drop Shot is a tactical move used by many players during multiplayer matches in "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2." To perform a Drop Shot, fire your weapon while dropping into a prone position. This gives you an advantage, because shooting while dropping makes it difficult for enemy players to shoot you before you shoot them. Although the move is simple to execute, the timing takes practice to master because you must react and perform your Drop Shot as soon as you see an enemy.

     Load the game, and go to the main menu. Select "Multiplayer" from the list on the main menu, then select "Options" from this list.

     Select the "Button Layout" option. Highlight the "Tactical" button layout option, and press "X."

     Join a multiplayer match. Run through the map until you come across an enemy. The second you see him, hold down the right thumbstick to go prone, and hold the "R1" button to fire your weapon.
