How Do You Use the Regular Controller Instead of the Top Shot Elite on PS3?

The Top Shot Elite peripheral is a fake shotgun controller that can be connected to the Sony PS3 to control characters on certain Cabela's shooting games. Like the Nintendo Wii, the Top Shot Elite uses a sensor bar in front of your television to detect where the gun is being pointed. If you do not have the Top Shot Elite peripheral, but you still would like to play the Cabela's hunting games. you can use the normal PS3 controller that comes with every retail PS3.

Instructions

  Unplug the Top Shot Elite sensor bar from the PS3's USB port on the front of the gaming system.

  Turn on the Sony PS3 and wait for your PS3 menu to come up.

  Insert the mini-USB cable into the top of the default PS3 controller. Connect the opposite end of the mini-USB cable into the front USB port on the PS3.

  Pull the mini-USB cable out of the PS3 when the four blinking controller lights on the inserted controller stop blinking and the light over the "1" stays solid.

  Press the "PS" button on the center of the PS3 controller to synch the controller with the PS3's Bluetooth sensor and the controller is now controlling the PS3.
