How to Defeat the Dementors in the Dark Tower in LEGO Harry Potter

"The Dark Tower" is the final chapter of Year 3 in the "LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4" video game. The object of this level is to defeat the head Dementor and his cronies to rescue Sirius Black. Although you might expect that you simply have to blast the head Dementor with your Patronus Charm a few times, this battle is different from previous Dementor encounters. Instead, you must use objects on the field to win this boss battle.

Instructions

- 1
  Blast the two barrels in the battlefield to dump out their contents. A swarm of Dementors will come onto the field while the head Dementor floats safely out of reach.

  Blast the Dementors with your Patronus Charm. If the Dementors are clustered together, the one you target will die and the others will be blasted back, which stuns them for a few seconds. Shoot any remaining Dementors with your Patronus Charm.

  Wait for the head Dementor to come back onto the field. When he does, he will try to absorb you and your partner. Levitate the debris you dumped out earlier and send it toward him. Instead of absorbing you, he will get hurt by the debris.

  Fend off the swarm of Dementors. Each time you damage the boss, he will retreat for a moment and a swarm will start attacking you.
- 5
  Shoot the two statues when the head Dementor freezes the barrels. Dump out their contents and wait for the head Dementor to start trying to absorb you. When he does, levitate the debris to damage him. Repeat this process one final time to win the battle.
