How to Troubleshoot Top Shot Elite for PlayStation 3

The Top Shot Elite gun for PlayStation 3 is used with hunting games and first-person shooters on the console. If you are having problems with your Top Shot Elite, there are several things that you can do to get it working properly. The most common issues are problems with the sensor bar, calibration of the gun and lighting in the room. You don't have to send your gun back to the manufacturer to get it working again. You can do it yourself with little hassle.

  Check the sensor bar to make sure that the gun's signal can reach it. If the gun's signal cannot reach the sensor bar, the gun will not fire within the game.

  Go into your game and click on the "Options" menu. Choose the "Controls" option and then click on the "No" option. Choose the sensor bar option that best suits your setup. For instance, if your bar is set above or below your TV, choose the option accordingly.

  Calibrate your gun if the default calibration does not work on the TV. Go back to the "Options" menu and then click "Controls." Click on the "Yes" option under "Calibration." Point the gun at the calibration points on the TV when prompted to calibrate your gun.

  Remove any additional lighting from the TV area. If there is excess lighting, the gun's signal will not go through to the console.
