How to Kill Angra Mainyu in Final Fantasy X-2

"Final Fantasy X-2" is a role-playing video game released for the PlayStation 2 in 2003. The game is a sequel to "Final Fantasy X" and takes place two years after the events of the initial game, in the world of Spira. The story follows the adventures of Yuna, Rikku and Paine as they seek to recover an item called the Garment Grid from the Leblanc Syndicate. Angra Mainyu is one of the most powerful bosses in the game and is accompanied by the lesser bosses Zarich and Tarik.

Instructions

  Assign Rikku and Pain as Dark Knights and Yuna as a White Mage. Each character should be at least level 40, but preferably level 50 to 60.

  Cast "Protect" with Yuna at the start of battle, if you've learned it. Also, use a Stamina tablet or tonic to greatly increase your maximum hit points.

  Cast "Darkness" with your Dark Knights' every turn. This deals 1,500 to 2,500 points of damage to each enemy target, per cast. Two consecutive uses of "Darkness" by Rikku and Paine should destroy the two lesser enemies Tawrich and Zarich.

  Use Yuna to heal and protect the party members from receiving too much damage. Using "Curaga" is great for a while but can't maintain everyone's health forever. If a character's hit points drop below 1,200, use a health potion instead of casting "Darkness" during that turn.

  Maintain a level of 60 magic points for Yuna at all times. If Yuna's magic points get low, have one of the Dark Knights use "Ether" on her, to replenish her magic. This allows her to cast "Full-Life," in case your party is nearly destroyed at any point during the battle.

  Continue the cycle of casting Darkness every turn, unless it is necessary to heal or replenish Yuna. Cast "Shell" or "Reflect," to add further protection from attacks or to deal damage to the enemy when you are attacked. After some time, Angra Mainyu will be defeated.
