How to Unlock the Militia Costume in Metal Gear Solid 4

"Metal Gear Solid 4" features a number of unique disguises that can help make its missions easier. One such outfit, the Middle Eastern Militia Disguise, is hidden in a special room in one of the game's primary missions. You must grab this disguise while you're completing the other objectives in the Middle East portion of the game. Once you find the disguise, you can use it at your discretion.

Instructions

  Start Act One of "MGS4," which is titled "Liquid Sun." This act takes place in the northwest section of the Red Zone.

  Play through the Red Zone level until you encounter a brief cut scene in which you receive the Solid Eye item. This happens about halfway through the level. You'll also find the MK.II, a silenced pistol.

  Run through the hole in the wall and turn left. You will see some soldiers on patrol; dispatch them with whatever weapon you deem most effective. The MK.II is a good choice because of its silencer, but this area is a designated war zone. This means that stealth is less of a factor than it is in other areas of the game, so deal with the bad guys however you'd like.

  Turn left and run up the road, killing enemies as you go.

  Head straight to the small door at the end of the road. This is the entrance to the militia safe house.

  Run to the back of the militia safe house, where you'll find a locker. Examine this locker's contents to get the Middle Eastern Militia Disguise.
