How to Make Saved Games From Resistance 2 Work

Over the years, the video game industry has evolved to allow users to download other gamers' saved game files for use with their own consoles, which creates an entirely new method of cheating at games. For example, if you want to play "Resistance 2" but not from the very beginning, you can download a saved game file from a reliable source, such as GameFAQs or Code Junkies. To make the file work, you must download it to a specific location on your PlayStation 3.

Instructions

    • 1

Copy the game save files from your computer to a USB flash drive or external hard drive. Plug the drive into an open USB port on your computer, and then drag the files onto the icon representing the drive. This icon will appear on your desktop if using a Mac, or in "My Computer" if using a Windows machine.

    • 2

Disconnect the drive from your computer once the transfer is complete, and then plug the drive into an open USB port on your PS3. Scroll to the "Game" sub-menu on the XMB dashboard, and then highlight "Saved Data Utility." Press "X."

    • 3

Highlight the drive's icon, and then press "Triangle." Select the "Display All" option to show all of the files and folders on the drive.

    • 4

Scroll through the list of files until you find the game save file you downloaded. Press "Triangle," and then select "Copy" to save the file to your PS3.

    • 5

Launch the game and select "Load" at the main menu. After the PS3 checks for game save data for "Resistance 2," the file you downloaded earlier will appear in the list. Select it to start the game.
