How to Destroy the Gekko on Metal Gear Solid 4

"Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots" is the finale of the Metal Gear Solid series, released in 2008. Players control the rapidly aging Solid Snake in his final mission to save the world. One of the many new enemies in the game is the Gekko, a miniaturized version of the titular "Metal Gear." Defeating the robotic Gekko is less straightforward than defeating the myriad human enemies in the game.

Instructions

    • 1

      Equip an assault rifle, especially one that can fire in a three-shot burst, like the M4.

      Target one of the legs of the Gekko and shoot it until it drops to one knee. While the enemy recovers, shoot the other leg until it collapses.

      Run to the back of the Gekko when it collapses. The "Solid Eye" enhancement will highlight the weak point to shoot, which is on top of the "head" of the robot. Shoot at the weak spot.
