How to Defeat the Vamp in Metal Gear Solid 4

"Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots" is an action shooter game for the PlayStation 3 home gaming console. Vamp is the fourth boss you will face in the game, at the end of the "Shadow Moses" stage. He is a fast-moving boss who will regenerate life even after you have depleted his health bar completely with normal weapons. You will need to use the "syringe" item that you received earlier in the game to defeat him completely.

Instructions

- 1
  Equip a gun with automatic fire, such as the assault rifle or machine gun.

  Equip the "syringe" as the secondary item.

  Fire at Vamp with your gun, aiming for the head as much as possible.

  Roll out of the way when he charges at you to avoid taking damage. He moves quickly, but rolling will allow you to dodge his attacks.

  Reduce his health meter to zero with your weapon. Vamp then falls, as if dead. However, he gets back up again and begins to regenerate life if you do not intercept.

  Stand behind Vamp as he gets up and press the "R1" button on your controller to grab him.
- 7
  Press the "Triangle" button on your controller to use the "syringe" item to inject him. This defeats him and finishes the stage.
