Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn on your Sony Playstation 3 and your PS3 controller (see Reference 1).
Use your PS3 controller to select the "Settings" menu from your PS3 home screen. Press "X" on the controller to make your selections. Choose "Accessory Settings" and then choose "Manage Bluetooth Devices" (see Reference 1).
Turn on your Bluetooth headset. Each Bluetooth varies, so you'll need to consult your Bluetooth's owner's manual to find out how to correctly pair your headset with another device. Typically, you'll hold down the button that's located on the headset until the light on the headset begins to flash (see Reference 1).
Register your Bluetooth headset. The "Manage Bluetooth Devices" menu on your screen will say "There are no Bluetooth devices registered. Do you want to register a device?" Choose "Yes." Then select the "Begin Scan" option. As long as your Bluetooth headset is correctly set up for pairing, according to your owner's manual, there should be no problem with the scan (see Reference 1).
Enter the four-digit verification code that's meant specifically for your Bluetooth device. You should be able to find this code in the owner's manual (see Reference 1).
Ensure that your Input Device is set to your Bluetooth. You can do this by accessing the "Accessory Settings" menu and then the "Audio Device Settings" menu (see Reference 1).
