How to Connect PS3 to a TV

The PS3 or Playstation 3 gaming console combines all the features of a gaming system with a Blu-ray player. Although the PS3 is a complex device, you can connect it to a TV with a single cable. Once your PS3 is hooked up, you can immediately begin playing one of the thousands of games or enjoy a Blu-ray movie right from the comfort of your home.

      Use the main power switch on the back of the PS3 to turn it off and unplug the power cord from the outlet.

      Turn off the TV and unplug it as well. Insert one end of the HDMI cable into the port on the rear of the PS3.

      Plug the other end of the cable into the "HDMI In" port on the rear of your TV. Turn on your TV and the PS3.

    • 4

      Press the "Input" button on the control panel to toggle through the inputs until the image from the PS3 appears on the TV's screen.
