With every new gaming console comes a new controller. Plug the adapter's USB side into the PS3's USB port.

Place the PS2 guitar's plug into the adapter's converter port. Use this end of the converter as you would the PS2 console. This works with all controllers, wired or wireless, guitars and regular console controllers.

Switch the adapter to the game you wish to play. There are settings for "Guitar Hero," "Rock Band" and "Gamepad."
