Locations by Chapter
There are no scarabs located in Chapter 1 or 2.
Chapter 3 has three hidden scarabs. The first is located in the main office, by the window. The second is located in the Airship storage room, but you will need to complete the airship challenge first. The third golden scarab is in the gas compartment passageway on the hidden upper deck. Do a backflip to reach the upper catwalk.
Chapter 4 has three golden scarabs as well. The first is in Great Bridge Square, inside the water fountain. The second is located at Clock Tower Square. You will have to access an upper walkway near the Pleasant Street switch to get it. The final scarab is at Han's Bar, near the weapon hidden at the end of the alley.
Chapter 5 also hides three golden scarabs. The first is on Moat Road. It is located on an upper ledge, opposite from the Pegasus Key chest. The other two scarabs are on Drawbridge Hill. One is next to the save point, while the other is in a crevasse that is to the right of the street.
Chapter 6 has six scarabs. Two are in the archives room, one inside a glass case on the second floor and the other on the third floor. The third scarab is on Altar Hill, on an upper ledge to the left. The fourth scarab is across from the save point in the corridor of doom. At the Encontra Babel Specus, collect the fifth scarab in the alcove near the wasp fiend area. Finally, the sixth scarab is in the Hall of Eons, in the wall crevasse.
Chapter 7 has four golden scarabs. In the cemetery, across from the now-dead Bone Dragon, there is the first golden scarab. The second scarab is in the room with the suspension bridges, along the right side. The third scarab can be found in the blue eye chamber. Finally, the fourth scarab is hidden in the Chamber of Everlasing Sleep, but you'll need to fill the room with water to access it.
Chapter 8 has two scarabs. One is to the right just after you go through the skull gate. The other is just above it, hidden in a niche.
Chapter 9 has four scarabs. The first scarab is along the military base road, on the left side of the long passageway. The second is on top of a traincar in the Warehouse. The third is also in the Warehouse, on top of the control room. Use the catwalk to access it. Find the ledge that you can jump to along the wall of the control tower to get the final scarab in this chapter.
Chapter 10 hides nine scarabs. One is in "Aquaduct B2" on a hidden ledge above the entrance to the Boss Room. The second is located above the tunnel you can access after defeating the eel boss. The third is in the Hall of Balance along the right side. The fourth is along the right side of the Red Water Reservoir. The fifth is located in the underground waterway, to the left of the entrance. The sixth is also in the underground waterway, but you'll have to defeat the twin eels mini-boss first. The seventh is on top of a broken pillar in the Peristyle Passage. Finally, the last two are in the Underground Sanctuary, one across from the dead body with arrows and one behind the save point.
Chapter 11 has five scarabs. Four are in the moats, the first being underwater near the save point. The second is in the second area, near the laser copters, on the roof. The third is near the exit passage from the Titon door. The fourth scarab is in the corner of the sunken ship. The final scarab for this chapter is back in the Chamber of Everlasting Sleep, where you can now swim to the top and retrieve the golden scarab.
Chapter 12 has eight scarabs. In Zarkhan Staudium, the first scarab hides behind the pillars near the switch. The second scarab is above the entrance doorway. Use the platforms to reach it. The third scarab sits on the top balcony, so again, use the platforms to reach it. At the waterfalls, there is a scarab near the save point hidden inside one of the stone heads. There is another scarab at the bottom of the pond. In the magma cavern, there is a scarab hidden on a platform in the room with the see-saw contraption. There is also a scarab in the ice cavern, near the save point. The final scarab in this chapter is to the left on the path that has the statues shooting flames.
Chapter 13 has no golden scarabs.
Chapter 14 has two golden scarabs. After you enter the lion's door, an alcove on the left side hides one golden scarab. The second scarab is on an alcove near the statue of Muramasa.
Chapter 15 hides the last golden scarab of the game. It is on the third floor of the Palace Core, but you have to jump down from the fourth floor to access it. Congratulations, you've now collected all 50 golden scarabs!
