Connect to Playstation Network
Connect your PlayStation 3 console to a high-speed Internet connection. This can be done wirelessly or through a wired connection. On the main menu, go to "Settings" and click on "Network Settings."
Click on "Internet Connection Settings" and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your PlayStation 3 to the Internet. Once the console is connected and properly configured, you can connect to the PlayStation 3 Network.
Select "Join PlayStation Network" and create your online identification through the home page.
Search for your friends while logged into the network. To add someone as a friend, you must exchange a "Request to Add a Friend" message with him or her. Go to "Friends" on the main menu and select "Add a Friend." Enter your friends online ID to the message that pops up on your screen and click send. Your friend must accept your request before you can join in multi-player games with them. Add those who you want to invite to your skate lounge or play multi-player games with. You can only send a message to one person at a time.
Invite friends to Skate Lounge
Select "Online Game" through the main menu in "Tony Hawk's Proving Ground."
Select "Create a Match" to host a game.
Choose the match type, the number of players in your game (between two to eight people), and the area where you plan to host the game; in this case, your skate lounge.
Select the friends you want in the "Invited Slots," or space you reserve in your session for people on your friends list.
Click "Done." You and your invited friends can now play in your skate lounge.
