How do I Copy Games to the PS3?

If you picked up a new PlayStation 3 and want to copy both downloaded games and game save data from your old PlayStation 3 you can do so with a process known as "Data Transfer." To prevent unauthorized copying of games from one system to another--for example from your friend's system to yours--the Data Transfer must take place between consoles with the same PlayStation Network subscription. This means that while your games are on two different consoles, each has the same subscriber information on its hard drive.
