How to Beat Shadow Moses in Metal Gear Solid 4

Playing against Shadow Moses will remind some gamers of 1998's "Metal Gear Solid," when they played as a young Solid Snake who tiptoed past enemy guards in the icy Shadow Moses. Shadow Moses may now be one of the most famous game locations ever and it made a return in 2009's "Metal Gear Solid 4." Metal Gear players must deal with this old enemy once again and might be wondering about how to get through it this time. If you are one of those people, follow these steps, do your duty and beat the game.

  Turn on Snake's night-vision goggles. Night vision will allow you to see enemy movements and sensors.

  Avoid the Gekko by sneaking past it. You can destroy it with a .50-caliber sniper rifle or rail-gun; however, it's probably not important enough to justify the ammunition expense.

  Equip a sub-machine gun (SMG). Use the SMG to destroy any approaching Scarabs. They will explode and hurt you if they get close enough.

  Now you will be confronted by Gekkos, which are not possible to avoid. Use any available cover to prevent damage and go to Drebin's Store to equip a Javelin launcher. After the Gekkos have been disabled, get ready for the boss fight.

  Crying Wolf will appear with her Haven Troopers. Take down Haven Troopers as you sweep the area and note important landmarks.

  You will be able to see through Crying Wolf's vision for sporadic amounts of time. Use her visions as a clue to where she is coming, so you can preemptively attack.

  Use night-vision to detect Crying Wolf's nanomachine tags. Your cross-hairs will indicate her presence if they land on her.

  Attack when she takes off her exoskeleton. If you have trouble defeating her, use Raging Raven's MGL-140 to attack her with grenades. Hide and attack until you finally defeat her.

  Congratulations on winning. Now you can get the DSR-1 sniper rifle as a prize.
