Red Dead Redemption
Released in 2010, "Red Dead Redemption" was created by the makers of recent entries in the "Grand Theft Auto" series. The open world game allows players to explore the Old West in 1911. Whether wanting to take the main character's horse across desert terrain or rob a fellow citizen of his money, players have several options for playing the game without constrictions. The game's protagonist can acquire a variety of weapons and accessories and take part in many tasks reminiscent of the early 1900s.
Far Cry 2
"Far Cry 2," a first-person shooter, was released in 2008. Players can complete the game with their own order and methods, exploring different parts of the game's world and allying themselves to the faction of their choosing. Players can also use a variety of vehicles including boats, automobiles and even hang gliders. The game also lets players encounter a variety of climates and terrain at their pace. The game's first-person perspective distinguishes it from games in the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise.
