How to Download Karaoke Revolution PS3 Songs

Konami&'s "Karaoke Revolution" games allow gamers to sing popular songs from all musical genres on their home video game consoles. "Karaoke Revolution" games for the PlayStation 3 add to the experience by allowing players to purchase and download additional tracks from the PlayStation Network Store. PS3 owners with broadband Internet access, a PlayStation Network account and a source of funding can access the PSN Store and purchase songs for "Karaoke Revolution" games.

Instructions

  Highlight "PlayStation Store" from the "Network" section of the PlayStation 3 main menu and press "X". The console will ask you to sign in using your PlayStation Network account information or to create a new account if you do not have one. The PS3 console will walk you through the account-creation process, during which you will enter your information and choose a valid password and account name. You can then sign in. The PS3 will then direct you to the PlayStation Store.

  Highlight "Add-Ons" from the options at the left of the PlayStation Store screen and press "X". Select the first option, "Disc-Based Game Add-Ons", followed by "Disc-Based Game Add-Ons A-L", pressing "X" to confirm your choices.

  Highlight the "Karaoke Revolution" game for which you wish to download content and press "X". The PlayStation Store offers downloadable songs for "Karaoke Revolution", "Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore" and "Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore 2". Be sure to select the correct game so that you download compatible content.

  Highlight the song you wish to download and press the "X" button. Songs for "Karaoke Revolution" are listed individually, while songs for the "American Idol Encore" games are categorized based on genre.

  Highlight "Buy Now" from the song&'s information page and press "X". The PlayStation Store will direct you to a purchase confirmation page. Once you have reviewed your purchase, press "Confirm Purchase" to buy the content. The store will prompt you to enter payment information if your PSN account does not have sufficient funds. PlayStation Store purchases can be made using a PSN card (available at retailers), or with major credit cards. Once you have entered your payment information and confirmed your purchase, the store will direct you to the download screen.

  Highlight "Download" and press the "X" button to save your song to the PlayStation 3 hard drive. Once the song has been downloaded, highlight the content under the "Game" section of the PlayStation 3 main menu and press the "X" button to install the content. The song will be accessible when you play "Karaoke Revolution".
