How to Download Songs on GH3 for PS3

Guitar Hero III is the third installment to Neversoft&'s popular music simulation series, allowing gamers to sling on the shoulder strap of a near life-size guitar-shaped controller and "play" it to the notes on the TV screen. The game shipped with 73 songs when it released in 2007. But, Neversoft continued to release new songs more than a year after its launch date via online download. PS3 console owners can purchase and download new songs and track packs through the PS3 store using their PlayStation network account.

Instructions

  Power on the PS3 and press the PS button on your controller to open the cross-menu bar. Dozens of menu options will appear on screen.

  Select "Network" from the menu list by scrolling left.

  Choose "PlayStation Store" under the "Network" menu then log in if it doesn&'t log in automatically.

  Choose "Add-ons" from the "PlayStation Store" main menu. This will allow you to browse downloadable GH3 songs, among thousands of other items.

  Browse downloadable add-on songs by choosing "Guitar Hero III" from the games list.

  Choose the song or track pack you wish to download. This opens a download summary page where you can confirm the action.

  Highlight and select "Buy now" to purchase and begin downloading the GH3 track pack or song. Funds will be removed from your PlayStation Store account upon purchase.
