How to Set Up Age of Mythology

The Age of Empires game series has been through a number of changes, and one of them added the mythologies of the cultures that fans have been playing. "Age of Mythologies" is that game--a strategy game with classic gameplay and a realistic style. If you&'ve got the CD sitting on your desk, you&'ll have a hard time playing the game if it&'s not set up correctly. Fortunately, this is pretty easy to do.

  Open the "Start" menu, select "Accessories" under "Programs," find "System Tools" and open the "Information" application. Compare the specifications of your computer to those under the minimum technical specifications, which you can find under Resources 1. If your computer has Windows XP, you should be able to run the game without problems. If your computer doesn&'t match the minimum specifications, you will have issues running the game.

  Insert the game disc and run it, or open the installer file from the game files.

  Follow the onscreen prompts to install the software on your computer. Select a drive, settings, then wait for the installation of the software to finish.

  Patch the game by running the "Patch Age of Mythology" application located in the "Age of Mythology" folder.

  Test run the game by clicking its icon.
