How to Start a New Game in Resident Evil 5

Resident Evil 5 is an action and adventure shooting game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 video game consoles in which you must defeat a variety of zombies and villains that are a result of the evil Umbrella Corporation. Starting a new game is the same for both consoles and allows you to set the level of difficulty for your game. After completing the game for the first time, the "New Game+" option is available, which allows you to choose your character and use infinite ammo.

  Start the Resident Evil 5 game on your video game console and the main menu will appear on your screen.

  Select the "New Game" option by pressing the "X" button for the PS3 version or by pressing the "A" button for the Xbox 360 version.

  Select the level of difficulty with which you want to begin the game by clicking on "Amateur Mode," "Normal Mode," "Veteran Mode" or "Professional Mode."

  Select the character you want to play as. If you've beat the game once you can choose to play as Chris or Sheva, but if it's your first time you must begin the game as Chris.

  Watch the beginning cut-scene that sets up the plots of the game. You can then begin to play the game.
