How to Play Friends Online in Tiger Woods 09 for the PS3

One of the social aspects of the video golf game "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09" is the multiplayer option. While some multiplayer game modes strictly are for offline play, you can also play with your friends in online-specific game modes using a broadband internet connection.

Instructions

  Select "Playstation Network" from the main menu. Scroll down and select "Options."

  Change match type to "Unranked." You are not allowed to invite your friends to ranked matches to prevent rank boosting, which is manipulation of the game by "friendly" players to boost individual stats. These players purposefully throw matches and play poorly to make another player look better.

  Press the "O" button to return to the Xbox Live menu. Select "Enter the Lobby" and create a match. Choose the game type, game rules and other specifics and select "Private Match."

  Use the "Invite Friends" capability to send an invitation to your friends to join your private match.
